Our research of Pop Art and in particular the typographic work of the artist Ed Ruscha influenced our approach to the design of the SS11 material. To introduce the collection to the press we designed a simple A5 red and blue duplexed invitation and screenprinted text onto each side to give it an American pop art look and feel. The same approach was then adopted for the brochure cover, and within the brochure we mixed key phrases with the powerful shoot imagery to create a series of colourful, pop art inspired spreads. We were also commissioned to design a limited edition version of the brochure for select customers with a heavy mounted cover to give the brochure a unique high end look and feel.
