Subculture

Fashion and Textiles students on the Foundation Course at Central Saint Martins were given the opportunity to design both a Fred Perry Shirt and a Bowling Shirt for the Amy Winehouse Foundation Collection. We were commissioned by Central Saint Martins and Fred Perry to design a publication to promote the work of the shortlisted winners of the subculture themed competition. We chose a bold typographic approach and overlaid information on photographs of the students and their sketchbooks to create a simple, modern layout. The newspaper has been distributed through Fred Perry stores worldwide, with all proceeds from shirt sales going to The Amy Winehouse Foundation.
